Maula Hood system of management and justice !

Unless God does it! You cant kill him!( Maulay noo maula na maray tay maula nai mar sakda!)Ever since I heard this dialogue , I found it very filmy and unreal along with the character of Maula Jutt who was not supposed to lose under any circumstances and I looked down upon people who envied such a character who was impossible to exist in real life but the way things are going and the extent to which our collective frustration has grown I am desperate now to find a Maula Jutt in our society.

Maula Jutt is supposed to be someone who doesn’t play by the rules and is strong enough to beat the Bad guys and most important of all he doesn’t die. When I analyze popularity of characters like Maula jutt and Robin Hood than one thing is common in them that they were about societies in which system was too strong to let the weak people live in peace and these characters could muscle the system away to help the poor and weaker of the society.

Lets see what are the factors which create space for people like Maula Jutt and Robin Hood.

1: Members of the society are too lazy and psychologically too weak to struggle themselves so they clap for whoever is practically bringing solutions to their problems.

2: In the society there are few who have lost a lot themselves and now they have nothing else to lose so they struggle against the system for revenge and recognition. The ones who survive and succeed are remembered as heroes and the rest as nobodies so people struggle and try to succeed.

3: When dominant portion of the society is corrupt than struggling through the system is like trying to float by a boat of affected wood so success is more likely to come off the system.

No matter how we explain a society’s acceptance towards people who deliver results without following the rules but practically when individuals dominate the institutions than there is greater probability that such individuals would eventually start misusing the power rather than take corrective measures to rebuild the society and this is likely to happen because too much concentration of power in an entity usually results in a spill rather than a trickling down sharing of power to gain collective strength.

  1. Yes, mediocre minds like such themes, so popular fiction/films of every generation and geography have such “heroes”. Our national history shows that we always liked and selected people who were political “Maula Jutts”. I start from 1949. Ayyub, Yahya, Bhutto and Mujeeb. I give credit to Nawaz Sharif, as he learned from experience and relinquished such attitude. And this is the reason that those who want to see our political Messiah in “Maula Jutt” style are not content with his politics now-a-days.
“V” Pakistanis need a real transformation in everything related to us!

  2. my view on this is that since it is HARD to find selfless people so we turn to these ficticious characters by watching movies , dramas , cartoons and comics and some how try and chase away the agony of life . when infact th TRUTH IS everytime someone GOOD and SELFLESS of his NEEDS & WANTS takes a stand inour society we neglect him/her e.g zulfiqar ali bhutto now he was one man who stood against all odds but due to our enemies wich not too surprisingly exsisted within our own comunity asassinated him , whenever the forces of good arise the forces of evil and falsehood try thier bet to bring it down , SO INSTEAD OF WAITING FOR SUCH LIVLEY CHARACTERS WHY NOT BE ONE ..... IF WE WANT SOMETHING DONE WE HAVE TO DO IT , NO NONE ELSE IS GOING TO COME AND BABYSIT US , WE THINK WE ARE WEAK BUT IN ACTUALL TRUTH OF LIFE WE HAVE THE POWER TO CHANGE EVERYTHING WE JUST NEED TO QUIT THIS LIFE OF ENSLAVERY AND WALK ALONG THE PATH OF LIGHT AND RIGHTEOUNESS

  3. well, obviously who wants to work when u r getting the solution to ur prob on a plate. i m not sure abt other societies, but ours is dead for all intents and purposes. we dont feel anything except misplaced anger. and evryone has fantasies of evrything coming right in the end. after all, hope is essential for life. even if the hope comes from a completely illogical source!

  4. Present system is not bad rather it has not been observed and implemnted in its spirit. Certain revisions pertaining to law and ermuneration structure of public employees is required to make the system efficient.

The role of Maula Jutt is basically the representative of atmosphere prevailing in villages where one Chaudhary/Vadera does everything and controls peoples life as they are slave to that particular Chaudhary/Vadera. In Cosmopoliton setup such a role neither exists nor prevails.

  5. add to the list name of nedd kelly an australian bush ranger.he is remembered as a hero in australian history by auzi's of that time.ofcourse people like such law breakers bcz of natural desire to break da law by themself. weaker the people of any society r or ruled by forcefullly imposed laws more are the chances of emergence of such people.but i agree that history does not suport a (so called)positive participatin of such people in any system
